- Customer: Yeah, and some ice cream alimony.
- Waiter: ...Sorry?
- Customer: Ice cream alimony. For dessert.
- Waiter: OH, 'a la mode'. So do you want pie a la mode?
- Customer: No... Ice cream alin-mode.
- Waiter: But 'a la mode' means 'with ice cream'.
- Customer: Exactly.
- Waiter: Sorry, 'ice cream a la mode' would be ice cream with ice cream.
- Customer: Yeah, whatever. Give me pie then.
- Waiter: What kind of ice cream would you like?
- Customer: Vanilla alin-mode.
